Get clear on what you don’t want so that you clear the way to focus on what you do want.

When you are not happy at work, everything about the career can seem to be affected by a black cloud.


How are your Sunday nights and Monday mornings? Are you dreading the thought of going to work? Do you wish on Monday morning that you could come up with an excuse to call your boss so that you could have some extra time off? Have you even wished yourself ill so that you don’t have to face going into work.

If you are feeling miserable, unhappy, frustrated about your current work situation, or when emotional issues are not resolved, over time they can lead to illness.

A way forward is to find an emotional outlet for how you are feeling. Take some time out to work out what specifically about your job/career is making you unhappy? Write it down.

You may want to consider keeping a small journal so that you can get your thoughts down on paper so that they are not bottled up inside you.

Once you are clear on what it is that you no longer want, you can start to take action on what you do want for your life and your career.
